Barbequed Peanuts

These tasty barbequed peanuts are a delicious snack to serve with beer and wine. On top of that, peanuts are healthy - they are a good source of protein and are naturally cholesterol-free, low in saturated fat, plus contain over 30 essential vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. I prefer to use Virginia peanuts because they have the largest kernels, and for me, that increases snacking satisfaction. Most barbeque sauces have a high salt content, so be sure to taste the peanuts as you're mixing them up so you can add the salt just to your liking.

Recipe Summary
Difficulty: Easy
Prep time: 3 minutes
Cook time: 12 minutes
Yield: 1 cup of nuts

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted peanuts (shells removed)
1 tablespoon of your favorite barbeque sauce
Salt to taste
Pinch of sugar

Methode
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Spread peanuts onto a cookie sheet and toast until lightly browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the pan and turn the oven down to 350 degrees.

Put toasted peanuts into a bowl. Add the barbeque sauce, salt to taste, and a pinch of sugar. Mix well until all the peanuts are lightly coated.

Spread the peanuts out on the same cookie sheet. Bake the nuts at 350 degrees for 5 minutes until the barbeque sauce dries.

Let the nuts cool before eating.
